Patient Education: FAQ

WHAT IS YOUR NEW PATIENT PROCEDURE?

New Patients can book an Initial appointment with our Chartered Physiotherapist via the online website or walk-in to our clinic in Hyderabad.

Arriving for your appointment:

We always try and give appointment times that suit you. Please contact us if there are any problems. If possible, please arrive a little early as you may be required to complete a questionnaire. Leave plenty of time if you are coming during peak traffic hours.

First consultation - Initial Assessment:

The first consultation with your chartered physiotherapist primarily will be an individual assessment.

There may be some element of undressing, and we encourage patients to wear sensible clothing such as a vest top and/or comfortable shorts.

What to expect

Your first visit will last about 30-45 minutes on a one-to-one basis with your physiotherapist. You will be asked questions about your problem, such as the following.

  • What is troubling you?

  • What makes it better?

  • What makes it worse?

  • When did it start?

  • What started it (if known)?

  • Any previous treatments?

  • Any similar problems?

  • Any general health problems?

There will also be a physical examination. This may require the physiotherapist to ask you to undress to your underwear or shorts/T-shirt as you feel comfortable. This will help us assess exactly what the problem is.

If you require a chaperone during your clinical assessment and treatment please inform at the reception.

DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL?

You can usually approach a qualified physiotherapist directly without a referral from a doctor. Our Physiotherapists are qualified and Dr Ameen is registered with CSP, HCPC, and IAP.

WHAT TYPES OF HEALTH INSURANCE DO YOU ACCEPT?
